Messaging Disclosures & Opt-In
Plain-English explanation of the SMS, WhatsApp, and voice messages DoubleXL sends, how we obtain consent, and how to opt out at any time.

1. Who is sending you messages
Messages identified as "DoubleXL" or any DoubleXL sub-brand (DoubleXL Stream, Answer, Align, Respond, Draft, Ops, Vision) are sent by DoubleXL, Inc., 212 Crossroads Blvd, #620, Saratoga Springs, UT 84048. Messaging is delivered through Twilio (SMS, voice, WhatsApp via Meta Business Platform).
2. What we send
2.1 Operational messages
Operational messages are sent only when you have an account or other relationship with DoubleXL and have opted in to receive them on a given channel. Examples include:
- Security: sign-in alerts, password and device changes, one-time verification codes
- Billing: invoice reminders, payment receipts, expiring-card notices
- Appointments & meetings: reminders and join links for scheduled meetings
- Workflow alerts: failures and status updates from workflows you configured
- Customer-reply notifications: alerts that a customer has replied to a conversation you manage in DoubleXL Respond
- Team coordination: mentions and shared-item notifications
2.2 Marketing messages
Marketing and promotional messages — product announcements, offers, event invitations, tips — are sent only with a separate, explicit opt-in and never bundled with operational consent.
2.3 Verification codes
One-time verification codes (2FA, sign-in, account recovery) are sent on a per-request basis when you initiate the verification flow.
3. Message frequency
- Operational: frequency varies based on your account activity (typically a few messages per week, more if you have active workflows or many meetings).
- Marketing: capped at approximately six SMS per recipient per month, no more than one per day.
- Verification: sent only when you request them.
Quiet hours: we do not send non-urgent SMS between 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM in your local time. Security alerts, 2FA codes, and replies you initiate are exceptions.
4. How we obtain your consent
DoubleXL collects express written consent before sending any operational or marketing message on SMS or WhatsApp. Consent is captured through one or more of:
- Account sign-up or settings: you provide a mobile number and check an unchecked opt-in box adjacent to the disclosure below at /sign-up or /dashboard/settings/notifications.
- Contact sales: the same disclosure appears on the /contact-sales form.
- WhatsApp double opt-in: for WhatsApp, the first message is a confirmation template requiring a "YES" reply before further messaging.
- Enterprise onboarding: consent is captured in writing in an order form or via a digital sign-up link with the same disclosure language.
5. Operational opt-in disclosure (exact text)
By providing my mobile number and checking this box, I agree to receive recurring operational messages from DoubleXL on the channels I have selected (SMS and/or WhatsApp), including: account and security notices, billing and invoice reminders, appointment and meeting confirmations, customer reply notifications, workflow status updates, and team coordination messages. Message frequency varies based on my account activity. Message and data rates may apply on SMS; WhatsApp messages use mobile data. 6. Marketing opt-in disclosure (exact text)
By providing my mobile number and checking this box, I agree to receive recurring marketing and promotional messages from DoubleXL via SMS, including product announcements, offers, event invitations, and tips. Message frequency varies, up to approximately 6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. 7. Sample messages
The following are representative of messages you may receive, by category. Actual content varies.
- Security: "DoubleXL: New sign-in from Chrome on macOS in Salt Lake City, UT just now. If this wasn't you, secure your account: double-xl.com/recover Reply STOP to opt out."
- 2FA code: "DoubleXL: Your verification code is 482913. It expires in 10 minutes. Do not share this code."
- Billing: "DoubleXL: Your invoice for $249.00 (June 2026) is ready. Auto-pay runs Jun 15. View: double-xl.com/billing Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
- Meeting reminder: "DoubleXL Stream: Reminder — meeting with Acme Corp at 2:00 PM MDT. Join: double-xl.com/m/abc123 Reply STOP to opt out."
- Workflow alert: "DoubleXL Ops: Workflow 'New Lead → HubSpot' failed at step 3. Retry: double-xl.com/ops/runs/xyz Reply STOP to opt out."
- Customer reply: "DoubleXL Respond: New customer message from Jane D. — 'Can we reschedule for Thursday?' Open: double-xl.com/respond/t/789 Reply STOP to opt out."
- Marketing (separate opt-in): "DoubleXL: New in Draft — generate full proposals from a single prompt. See it: double-xl.com/products/draft Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
8. How to opt out
- SMS: reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT, or CANCEL to any message. You will receive a single confirmation reply and no further messages on that category.
- WhatsApp: reply STOP or block the sender in WhatsApp.
- Voice: say "opt out" or press 9 when prompted during a call, or add your number to your national Do-Not-Call list.
- In-app: toggle the channel off at /dashboard/settings/notifications.
- Email: send a request to privacy@double-xl.com.
Opt-outs are processed within seconds. An opt-out on one channel for a category also suppresses other channels for the same category unless you re-enable them.
9. Help
Reply HELP or INFO to any SMS to receive contact information, or email hello@double-xl.com. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to messages you send and receive.
10. Consent records
We record each opt-in with timestamp, IP address, user-agent, channel, category, source URL, the exact disclosure version you saw (v2026.06.09 at time of writing), and (for WhatsApp) the double-opt-in confirmation. We retain consent records for the life of your account plus four years to comply with the TCPA statute of limitations.
